Nice clean chest to head high conditions this morning. off shore winds made it barrel and those who could were getting covered up. not many people out until around 9:00am. Then it started to feel like summer. tons of people coming off the trains with boards and a pack line up. waves slowly got smaller and choppier. All in all a good day many fun waves. good vibe in the lineup.

Apr 29th

Unsound Pro Jr. ASP 1 Star event. in choppy condition, those kids were ripping. Local boy Balram finished 4th. Unsound put on a great show. NYsea.com had the webcast, solid webcast at that. Some nice parties going down at the allegria hotel.

Waves are waist+ and glassy. quite a few guys out, most scraping the shorebreak but it's fun. Prob best on a fish or long board so you can catch the set waves further outside.

Past few days have been pretty epic up and down the east coast. Jersey saw some incredible surf sunday into monday and even today. Big barrels. You can find pics on surfline etc.

Another beautiful day in LB. Very clean and fun today up in the chest range for the afternoon. Air in the 60's water still alittle cold but plenty of guy where out in 4/3's and most of the guy's in 5 mil had there hoods pulled down. Fun peeling left and some nice inside rights. handful of guys out on the best peaks but plenty of waves all over. Couple of cover ups to those in the right spot on the sets.

Fun waves today in the afternoon behind a curtain of fog. kinda messy on the inside, but clean chest - shoulder+ 4 wave sets would roll in every few minutes. Long peeling lefts and some rights that would connect all the way into the inside. Visibility wasn't too bad once you were out there but from the beach you couldn't see past the shore break. Not much of a rip but it was hard to gauge where the jetties where since you couldn't see the buildings or usual markers. Good handful of guys out. Great vibe.

Supposed to be smaller but clean tomorrow in the AM. Get it if you can!

Waves are good. I went out this morning big clean head high. Can't beat S swell with N winds around here. Bumpier now little smaller but still very fun conditions. Needed the rubber though, saw someone duck dive with their hood pulled down. Talk about an ice cream headache. Water temps up to 44' F. I'll probably wear my 5/4/3 til may. haha. stoked!

yesterday. I saw a big grey seal getting netted by the animal control people from under the boardwalk. It was a little bloody around its mouth and flippers, but seemed ok. They told me it was probably attacked by something. makes ya wonder what's out there.

April's been good so far. think i surfed the last 3 or 4 days. Today being the highlight.

About chest high on the sets. Lining up perfect all the way down the beach. Kinda mushy on the take off but stood up on the inside. There were a bunch of Longboards out. Lots of familiar faces. Weather was nice too.

Good start to April.

Noon. 2-3 ft semi clean. Solid rip sucking west. Plenty of guys out. Plenty of waves. Shortboardable.

3/24/11

Clean and perfect waist-chest n the AM.. Offshore and sunny.
Best on a fish or Log now. Still really fun. Maybe 10 guys out. Some beaches working way better than others.

Still in a 5mil. 5'6 stubby quad.
Potential for more tomorrow!

We ended up getting some solid waves today in the afternoon. Head high- Ohead on the big sets. The waves would start kinda chunky and fat and then just jack up and throw over. It would be best on a board with a little more volume. Even on a long board. There was def some chop and bump to the face of the waves but plenty of nice walls and some barrels. Rip wasn't too bad although I did get sucked 4 beaches down by the time I got out. Reminded me of Miami on a big choppy day but this was bigger, cleaner and better. Only about 5 guys out. Was sunny with a bit of an on-shore wind.

Looks like we'll have some waves coming our way next couple of days! Monday looks like chest to shoulder and clean in the early afternoon. It'll get smaller Tuesday but hopefully stay clean and in the waist + range. I'll update when it happens.

Today was messy maybe the occ. chest high peak coming through. No one was out when I checked it. Didn't seem worth it.

We have waves!! Head high in the morning on the low tide. Got smaller in the early afternoon. Waist -chest with some larger set waves. Litle chop on the face but nice thick walls of water. Mostly the usual LB beach break lefts but a few steep rights were connecting into the inside. Good times. Finally some stoke! Let's hope it sticks around.

Friday 2/18

Waves have been super flat and inconsistent all winter. did a little traveling the past few weeks. I'm sure we'll get some waves soon and when we do i'll be back with the pics and report.

Waist-chest w/ some head high peaks in the right spots. Not too crowded. Pretty clean conditions, light wind. Size is dropping as the day goes on. Go get some!

January 14th

Still no sign of surf around the south shore of Long Island. Really having a pretty weak couple of months but something has to give. Ill be going to Florida on the 24th until the beginning of February and then driving back home. Hoping to score some waves while I'm there and on the road trip home! I'll keep ya posted.

January 8th

Finally got some waves today. Was out from 2:30-4 got a couple good ones nothing special. Rode my 5'6" Stubby quad. It was small prob in the knee - thigh range w/ a few guys out. Lite wind. Clean small wave. Much needed surf on my break from work. Looks like there might be something on the horizon for the end of the week.
